Stoel

On the stage, chairs... to the rhythm of the cello and the voice, two dancers revisit these familiar objects. They organise, transform and cross these spaces. By settling into them and sharing them in different ways, the chair becomes a playground, a place for all kinds of daring and encounters.

From its stability to its imbalances, from lightness to brutality, from construction to deconstruction, dance emerges...

Stoel takes as its starting point this phrase by Jean-François Pirson, an artist-educator who mixes a variety of practices (drawing, photography, installation, text, walking). "The individual who, neither completely nomadic nor completely sedentary, is looking for a place to rest".
